CEO and Founder

I have over 30 years experience in the Mine Management and Procurement fields. After the Brenda Mine closure in 1990, I spearheaded the liquidation of the company's mechanical and structural assets. I was also heavily involved with the mine environmental decommissioning, procurement, mine closure and asset recovery consultation within Noranda. In 1996 Brenda Process Technology was purchased from Noranda by Svedala. Svedala was consequently purchased by Metso in 2001. Within both these companies I have been in senior management concentrating in field service, marketing, project management and aftermarket sales. In 2005 I parted ways with Metso Minerals and started Big Rock Consulting Inc.

Leon Swetlishoff

Mechanic

Leon has over 35 years of experience in the mechanical, maintenance and steel fabrication disciplines. He has worked in various Supervisory capacities since 1973. His most recent accomplishments involve the supervision of large-scale grinding mill installation projects and quality control over the manufacturing of large sag mills for Metso Minerals.

Leon is a Journeyman millwright, welder and rigger. He is also fluent in Portuguese, Spanish and Russian with English as his first language.

Shawn is the newest addition to Big Rock Consulting. Shawn comes with a strong background in Business and Project management. Shawn is our logistic and purchasing manager, also getting involved in smaller consulting projects.
